The Famous Toastery

The Famous Toastery, formerly known as Toast Café, plans a move back to Huntersville. Originally on Huntersville-Concord Road, Toast Café closed after the building became too small for business.
Its new location will be in a stand-alone building in front of Earth Fare off Gilead Road in Huntersville.  This will add to current locations of Davidson, Mooresville, Tega Cay, Ballantyne, Dilworth & Cary.  Besides re-opening in Huntersville, The Famous Toastery has plans for expanding throughout the greater Charlotte area and even Florida.  There are also current talks of franchising to even more locations in the future.
The Famous Toastery is known for its breakfast menu - available for breakfast AND lunch - and also for serving locally sourced, organic food.  Dinner is also served at each location, offering nightly specials.  Many patrons love The Famous Toastery's take on eggs - omelets, eggs any style, frittatas and more!  You can often see hungry patrons waiting in line on a Saturday or Sunday morning for brunch.  The Famous Toastery hopes to gain fans in more towns.

Celebrate Earth Day in Cornelius

Celebrate Earth Day in Robbins Park, Cornelius, this Saturday, April 26th, at 9:00 am.  Some activities include clearing a walking trail, building a butterfly garden, and a town-wide clean-up.  The butterfly garden will be built near the tennis courts and the town of Cornelius would love volunteers!

Residents are also encouraged to clean-up their roads and neighboring roads from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Saturday as part of ‘Keep Cornelius Clean.’  Encourage your neighbors to join you – the weekend will be beautiful.  If you are unable to attend any of these celebrations, think of ways you can help reduce, reuse, recycle, and conserve.  Any work towards conservation helps!
